Reflection on Co-Constructive
What is Co-constructive tool?
A Co-constructive tool is a computer tool that allows you to build connected and complete things (like text, images, or designs) and typically allows more than one individual to collaborate on them at the same time in a shared virtual space. It is all about creating things that are flowing and connected, and perhaps with collaboration.
Lesson planning as a group, using Google docs when everyone was at their own place.
Google docs allows us to have conversion and chat there itself and as the same time we can type our work side by side at the same timeGoogle Docs as a Co-Constructive Tool: How it has been helping in teaching and learning
As a future teacher, I've also found Google Docs to be quite helpful when working with others. At first, it was clear that it helped plan lessons with mates more effectively ( We did group lesson planning on google docs). We could add our ideas and edit simultaneously, meaning lesson plans were co-written. Working in this manner eliminated problems we had when we tried combining fragmented pieces of work.
Besides lesson planning, Google Docs has also been useful for giving feedback on each other's work. We can comment on what we've written and give suggestions on the document itself. This makes it easier for us to critique and improve each other's work and a nice environment for all of us to get better at teaching. The history version feature has also been good because it enables us to see how our ideas have changed and who did what.
Google Docs has also made it easier to create and share resources. Our tutor can provide us with templates, like lesson plan templates, that we can easily use and adjust. We have also been able to share collective sets of resources, like excellent websites and brainstorming ideas. This has enabled us to create a shared pool of knowledge which we can utilize even after we finish our training.
Also, Google Docs has enabled us to collaborate both in real-time as well as at various times. We can collaboratively edit documents during class hours, and we can also utilize the commenting tool to discuss and exchange ideas when we are not with each other. That kind of flexibility has been very useful in working with varying schedules and learning patterns.
Overall, Google Docs is more than just a writing tool for documents. It's an interactive space where we can build our knowledge actively in collaboration. Through allowing us to work together in real time, give each other feedback, and create collaborative materials, Google Docs has allowed my mates and me to learn from each other and prepare ourselves for the collaborative side of teaching.
